With years of experience in both the public and private sector, Devra Schwartz is a Certified Emergency Manager and a parent to two energetic little boys. She is currently the Assistant Chief of Security Operations and Emergency Management at Loyola Marymount University. Prior to her time at LMU, Devra served as an Emergency Management Coordinator at the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department. Devra earned her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and her Master of Science in Strategic Planning for Critical Infrastructure at the University of Washington, Seattle. Devra has participated in numerous certificate programs through FEMA, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Texas A & M Engineering Extension Service and the HERS Leadership Institute at Wellesley, and is a recognized leader and sought after consultant in the emergency management field.
